Jakobsen Mek. Verksted AS is a traditional company with roots dating back to 1967. The company is based in Sleneset in Lurøy municipality, and performs service work, installs engines and cranes, and manufactures tanks and other equipment for commercial fishermen and the fish farming industry. The company was acquired by Imtas in the fall of 2024, and is actively working to increase capacity and expertise at the workshop.

IMTAS JakMek is growing and is looking for a skilled mechanic with a workplace in Sleneset. This is an exciting opportunity for you who want a varied working day in scenic surroundings along the Helgeland coast. 

About the position

The work will primarily be related to maintenance and repair of boats, but it may also be relevant to other mechanical work out at our customers along the coast. We are looking for a versatile mechanic who thrives on challenging tasks and can work both independently and in a team.

Desired qualifications

  • Certificate and/or extensive and relevant experience in mechanical work

  • Scandinavian language understanding is desirable

  • Focus on quality, efficiency and HSE

  • Versatile

  • Driving license class B is an advantage
